Care Home Programme Board


The Care Home Programme Board is a monthly meeting jointly chaired with NCC where, along with stakeholders and partners, work is undertaken to develop and implement systems in line with The Framework for Enhanced Health in Care Homes.

The following Staff within Northamptonshire CCG specialise in supporting care homes:

Quality Monitoring Team

The quality team work closely with providers of care homes (nursing and residential) and domicillary care agencies to ensure that all patients in their care are protected from avoidable harm. The team provides quality advice and training to providers and quality expertise to contract meetings and also develops, negotiates and monitors quality schedules with providers.

  • Marilyn Levins – Quality Improvement Nurse
  • Nicky Sellars – Quality Improvement Nurse

Care Home Advice Pharmacy (CHAP) team

The pharmacists and technicians within this team work in care homes throughout the county, providing full clinical medication reviews and medicines management support and advice. They continue to liaise primarily with care home staff, GPs and their practice staff and community pharmacy staff.
