Free NHS mental health services - waiting to support you this Christmas

The festive period between Christmas and the start of a new year can be difficult for some, especially if you’re feeling isolated, anxious, depressed or in a mental health crisis.

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) offers a wide-range of mental health services. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing mental health concerns over the Christmas period, there is free NHS support available and ready to work with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Mental Health Number provides round the clock mental health support for people across Northamptonshire, including existing NHFT service users and carers. You can call a friendly mental health navigator on 0800 448 0828 at any time 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A mental health navigator will help you to get the support that you need.

The service will continue to provide 24-hour support for anyone in need of help with their mental health throughout the Christmas period including Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.

If you're concerned about immediate risk of harm, to yourself or someone else, phone 999.

If you find yourself in a crisis or in need of a listening ear, there are Crisis Cafes across the county which are operated by NHFT and MIND, and are open over Christmas. Click here to view the timetable and locations. You can drop by at any time without having to book an appointment. Colleagues are offering face to face support throughout Christmas period, with the cafes open on Christmas Day between 2pm and 7pm.
