There is one month to go until Oundle Surgery transfers from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG to Northamptonshire Integrated Care System (ICS).
The national directive is that across the country the ICS boundaries should be the same as those of local authorities wherever possible. Oundle Surgery is currently part of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG, and currently serves a population of largely North Northamptonshire residents.
Under the new ICS arrangements the practice and all its registered patients will transfer to Northamptonshire ICS when it is established on 1st July 2022. The change is intended to promote alignment of local place relationships and community service flows in North Northamptonshire.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG and representatives from Northamptonshire ICS have been working together to ensure there will be a smooth transition for all patients within the practice. It has also been agreed that services will continue as they are post transfer to ensure equity of provision for the resident population of Oundle.
In support of this it has been agreed the current providers of services within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will continue to see and treat the population of Oundle post transfer. If in the future there is a transfer to a new provider this can be done as a managed transition and patients will be made aware of any proposed changes.
