The transfer of Oundle Surgery from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG to Northamptonshire Integrated Care System (ICS) will take place later this week on 1st July 2022.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG and representatives from Northamptonshire ICS are committed to ensuring there will be a smooth transition for all patients and have been working together to ensure this happens.
Northamptonshire ICS will focus on four priority areas:
- Children and young people
- Mental health, learning disability and autism
- Elective care
- iCAN (services for older people)
The new ICS will also focus on making sure local health and care services are delivered according to the needs of our communities, both at ‘place’ level (in areas aligned with our new unitary council boundaries) and even more locally at neighbourhood (or ‘sub-place’) level.
It has therefore been agreed that services will continue as they are post transfer to ensure equity of provision for the resident population of Oundle and the current providers of services within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will continue to see and treat the population of Oundle post transfer. If in the future if there is a transfer to a new provider this can be done as a managed transition and patients will be made aware of any proposed changes.
